Wagner in Vermont – Aug. 14-19

Wagner in Vermont returns in 2026, bookended by a new production of Tristan und Isolde, the opera with which it all started back in 2019. Each show will have its own unique interpretation, with a ‘darker’ version on August 14th in the evening, and a ‘lighter’ version on August 19th as a matinee. Also joining our main stage productions are Der Fliegende Holländer on August 16th, closely followed by act two of Parsifal on August 17th. ​The rest of the week will be filled with festival events, including lectures and talks, staged scenes showcases by our cover cast, a Liederabend, and a new fully-staged interpretation of Unshielded: The story of Wotan and Brünnhilde adapted from Der Ring des Nibelungen.
