Volunteer: Mobile Pantry

Did you know... according to an article published by Higher Perspective, one of the best ways to make yourself feel happier is to help others. In fact, 100 hours per year (or two hours per week) is the optimal time we should each be dedicating to helping others in order to enrich our own lives. What better way to help others than by volunteering? This time, we will be taking part in the Mobile Food Pantry! ABOUT from web: We rescue and distribute fresh, high-quality foods to individuals and families in need throughout Middle Tennessee, North Alabama, and the Florida panhandle. We accomplish this by giving food directly to our neighbors through our Mobile Pantry and by distributing food amongst a network of partnering agencies, including schools, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, other food pantries, and more. We bring food to places of need rather than asking those in need to come to us. WHEN: Please arrive by 7:15 AM for check-in. Volunteer shift begins at 7:30. Distribution begins at 8:30 AM. Wrap-up around 10:30 AM. WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, dress in layers. Bring hat/sunscreen if sunny or rain jacket if rainy. Water bottle, work gloves (optional), sunscreen, smile & willingness to serve! We feed hungry families in all weather conditions.
