“Think book club for artists.” Each month we will have a theme… Choose to create something new, bring in a previous work, or simply share your knowledge of a famous painting or artist that fits the topic. Ask for critiques from the instructor and the group, share inspiration, or simply chat and with other local artists. All original visual art is welcome, drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts, photography, etc. +Please no AI as your finished piece.+ Hope to see you there! \*Snacks and wine will be provided Most meetings will take place on the third Saturday of the month *—Themes—* *(For example a ‘water’ theme could mean a river landscape, a still life with pitcher, a fairy with water wings, or an abstract with all blue splatters. Make whatever comes to mind….. and remember if you don’t have time to make new artwork, feel free to bring something else.* MARCH- Circus Themed (CREEPY CLOWNS, 1920’s old poster art, Ringling Brothers) APRIL- Best Day Ever! (happy memories, reaching goals, your favorite place or time of the day, etc.) MAY- Fur, Scales and Feathers (animals of all kinds, various textures, close-ups and details) JUNE - Rework (take an artwork that inspires you and rework it in your own style, find an old piece you did years ago and rework it to show how much you’ve grown) JULY - Metal (reflections of metal surfaces in a still life, anything hardcore, 1980s big hair bands..) AUGUST- Food (your favorite meal, creatures made out of food, whipped cream fantasy clouds)
