About this event

Associate Professor of History at University of Richmond, Samantha Seeley, will discuss the story of Virginia’s role in ending the American Revolution. In the years that followed, Virginians from all walks of life—soldiers, diplomats, free and enslaved African Americans, women, and Loyalists—worked to shape the peace process and determine the meaning and beneficiaries of the war. This program is offered as part of the library's commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the Revolutionary War, and US Independence in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
