Fresh off a national tour of fringe festivals, including Elgin Fringe (“Spirit of the Fringe” award winner), Minnesota Fringe, Green Bay Fringe, and the Old Greeny Fringe Festival (Ithaca, NY), local cabaret mainstay Plucky Rosenthal returns to Chicago for a one night only encore of her hilarious solo show! A charming musical comedy solo show plucked right out of the vaudeville era, join Plucky on her quest to find the one thing she’s never had: a band. Rosenthal weaves together original comedy songs inspired by bygone eras, classic physical comedy routines, and gentle audience participation in what audiences call “delightful!” “loved every minute of it,” and a “clever show by an artist who doesn’t take herself too seriously, but is seriously talented.” A semi-finalist for the Andy Kaufman Award (NYC) and called “daffy and sweetly outlandish” by the Chicago Tribune, Plucky will have you tapping your toes and singing along in no time.
