Morrell Meeting Room. Join Maureen Foster, author and film lecturer, for a screening and discussion of Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 thriller Vertigo. Starring Jimmy Stewart, Kim Novak, and Barbara Bel Geddes, Vertigo tells the story of Scottie, a retired cop with a phobia of heights, who agrees to shadow the wife of an old acquaintance. Maureen Foster is an author and former lecturer in writing and film at UC Santa Cruz. Her book Alien in the Mirror : Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Glazer and Under the Skin (2019) explores the beautiful and complexity of the 2013 sci-fi film Under the Skin.
