Drawing upon his opera background, Verdi uses the exceptional powers of the orchestra to take the audience on a journey through full range of human experience and emotions. This performance will bring together the powerful voices of the combined choirs from Yale Camerata and Hartt School Choirs, along with four world-renowned soloists. The program will open with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Raven Chacon’s Inscription, a contemplative invocation inspired by 1,000 year old petroglyphs carved by Chacon’s Diné ancestors in New Mexico.
