ABOUT THE PERFORMERS: Based in Houston, VELA ENSEMBLE is a new chamber collective comprising some of the city's most prominent musicians: Tori Yaussy, Emily Moscoso, Katie Angielczyk, and Haley Houk. Dedicated to evolving the wind chamber tradition, the group breathes new life into the repertoire by pairing quintessential masterpieces with lesser-known works through flexible instrumentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Driven by a core mission of education and community engagement, we are thrilled to launch our first official season this fall.
