Please join us for dinner at Magic Wok. They have great Chinese food and quick service. When ordering, be sure to let them know that you are vegan. Emphasize that you do NOT want egg, oyster/fish sauce and beef/chicken stock. Request a spring roll instead of an egg roll (not vegan!). You can also substitute the white rice with fried rice without egg. The Lo Mein is NOT vegan, because the noodles have egg in them. Available for Vegans: Mongolian Vegetables: Mixed vegetables in sweet garlic sauce Kung Pao Vegetables: Mixed vegetables, peanuts, chili peppers in spicy hot sauce Spicy Sesame Tofu: Fried tofu cooked with sweet tangy sesame sauce, sprinkled with sesame seeds Curry Tofu: Spicy curry sauce with green bell peppers & white onions Spicy Hot Bean Curd: Szechuan style, peas, carrots & diced curd blended with delicious hot sauce Spicy Vegetable with Tofu: Mix vegetables with fried tofu in a brown sauce Vegetable Delight: Mix vegetables in white sauce Kung Pao Tofu: Tofu, mix vegetables & peanuts in chili pepper sauce Spicy Tofu with Garlic Sauce: Mix vegetables with fried tofu in garlic sauce Other dishes such as General Tso’s can be made vegan with tofu, and it is spicy. The Chinese donuts are vegan, too! As always, everyone should order vegan, since we are Birmingham Vegans. Please sign up to let us know that you are coming. You can sign up on Facebook and/ or the Meetup app.
