Join the library for a talk by History Professor Patrick O'Brien on Loyalist refugees exiled after the American Revolution. O'Brien will tell the story of how one loyalist family coped with the violence inflicted on them by friends and neighbors during the war, struggled to adapt to the social and physical climate they encountered in colonial Nova Scotia, and ultimately longed to return to their ancestral home.
