Urinetown

In a town where water is scarce thanks to a 20-year drought, the government tries to remedy the problem by charging people for the “privilege to pee”! Urinetown dares to question greedy capitalists and idealistic socialists alike by employing sharp satire and a score playing homage to, and occasionally spoofing, classic musical theater conventions. Corporate greed clashes with a grassroots rebellion and forces us to consider if ignoring the present reality can actually pave the way for a hopeful future. In this hilarious Tony Award winning musical, no one escapes from being the butt of the joke.
