The history of western music is filled with music with unimaginative titles. Pieces like “Symphony No. 1” or “Divertimento” tell the reader very little about the music other than it’s form or genre. However, many of these are among the most beautiful pieces ever created. Join the SMSU/Community Concert Band for an evening of music with titles that say very little, but with music that is incredibly emotive and powerful. The program includes works by George Walker, Daisuke Ehara, Victoriano Valencia, and many others. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the SMSU Fine Arts Theatre and is free and open to the public.
