Unfinished Pieces - Session 1

Unfinished Pieces is a recurring community storytelling and creative writing experience that invites artists to share the work they've never finished. Rather than celebrating polished, final work, the program creates space for vulnerability, creative exploration, and artistic growth. During the first half of the experience, local poets, songwriters, storytellers, and writers each present an unfinished creative work and reflect on the inspiration behind it, where they became stuck, and what the unfinished piece still means to them today. The second half transforms participants from audience members into creators. Guided by a featured writing instructor, attendees spend dedicated time working on their own unfinished pieces alongside fellow writers in a supportive, collaborative environment. The program encourages participants to embrace creativity as an ongoing process rather than a finished product while fostering meaningful connections through storytelling and shared artistic experiences.
