Auditorium, Isaías González-Soto Branch Library. Celebrate the end of Summer & Summer Reading with us! In this 60 minute instructional workshop format program, teaching artist Benjamin Berry will share their expertise of modern hoop dance. Participants will learn beginner-friendly hoop dance skills, and will also be educated on the physical, emotional, and social benefits of practicing hoop dance Through body positive programming, they will see for themselves that hoop dance is accessible for all genders, ages, sizes, and levels of ability. Benjamin will end the program with a single hoop dance performance to demonstrate the power of practice, as well as a Q&A portion to share resources for those who wish to continue exploring hoop dance beyond the program. For ages 6-199! Space is limited to 25 participants, please register once for each person in your group. Walk-ins welcome if there space available. Individuals in need of an accommodation may contact the ADA Coordinator at access@buffalolib.org within 7 days of a program.
