About this event

ACAN, together with Austin History Center and Asian American Arts & Culture Initiative, proudly present a free two-day history exhibition that brings visitors back one hundred years to the early 20th century, when Chinese immigrants first arrived in central Texas. Their life experiences in this land will be told through the untold family and individual stories and the making of a documentary film "Under Her Name" through a work-in-progress exhibition, pre-screenings, conversations, and hands-on cyanotype & origami workshops.
