Tween Time: Día de los Muertos Celebration

Conference Room. Celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a vibrant Mexican tradition that honors the memory of loved ones who have passed. Tweens will learn the meaning behind this special holiday and explore its symbols, like marigolds, sugar skulls, and ofrenda, altars. Then, we’ll get creative with crafts inspired by the tradition, such as decorating colorful paper calaveras aka skulls, making tissue paper marigolds, or creating mini ofrendas to honor someone special in their lives like a person or even a pet. We strive to make all our programs accessible for children of all abilities.
