About this event
Come join all the ‘animals’ in the Russell Forest on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, from 6-7:30 pm for Turpentine Tales. Turpentine Tales, held in the ruins of the old Dixie Industrial Company’s Turpentine Distillery, features some awesome children actors depicting animals. These animals, from meek to domineering, will describe, in detail, their role in the forest. You may find a herd of deer, a bald eagle, and maybe even a possum or two. Meet your friends at Russell Crossroads near the Town Green stage, where trail guides will share a bit of history before you wander into the forest! As the walk on the Turpentine Trail comes to an end, make sure to find the campfire and S’mores – a delicious sweet treat at the end of your walk. It runs for only two nights, so mark your calendar now. You don’t want to miss Turpentine Tales; it is truly a one-of-a-kind event!
