Tuesday Morning Gravel

Newcomers are always welcomed for the first ride without paying CSCC membership dues. You will be asked to join if you show up for a second ride. Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/52314235 This week, we're starting in Monument and riding north along the Santa Fe Trail to Greenland Open Space then East for a loop. We'll return to Greenland for the ride back down to Monument. New route on familiar trails and roads. There is some wide single track on this route but an alternate path is available. The Tuesday Morning Gravel Ride is an intermediate (12-16 mph), no-drop ride with catch-up points along the route. There may be a planned rest stop along the route, but we will have a “sweep” and will regroup as necessary to ensure no rider is left behind. We will leave from a different location each week. The ride leader will publish a Ride with GPS link to the route the weekend before the ride with a start location. You can download a free version of the app from your phones app store. We will ride 25-40 miles (maybe more or less) depending on weather and surface conditions. In order to participate in this event you must read the following in its entirety, read all updates posted in the comments thread, and respond promptly to all direct messages from the ride leader. You must also examine the route via the link for details on distance, surface and elevation profile. A gravel, cyclocross, or mountain bike would be appropriate for this ride. This is a no drop ride but you must have done this distance before, or something close to it, and be confident that you can finish the ride.
