VA Meeting Room, Varina Area Library. Matt Howell, founder of Gone Diggin’ and who appears on Beyond Oak Island, will impart his wisdom on using metal detectors for treasure hunting. Learn about how the technology works, what other tools you will need, and relevant laws pertaining to the hobby. Check out some of the treasures discovered by Howell and get some hands-on experience with metal detectors. Dress for the weather and terrain! Part of this program will take place outside as we hunt for hidden objects across library grounds.
