Saturday, August 29 at 7 PM Idaho Humanities Council presents TRAIN DREAMS as part of Roots of a Nation: An Idaho Film Festival. A logger leads a life of unexpected depth and beauty in the rapidly-changing America of the early 1900s. A gorgeous meditation on America, ably shouldered by one of Joel Edgerton’s very best performances, Train Dreams takes on mythic proportions while maintaining an intimate emotional delicacy. After each screening, historians and film scholars from the University of Idaho take the stage for a lively, engaging panel—perfect for curious minds of all ages to ask questions and dig deeper into the stories.
