Wynn Yarrow : Traditional Calligraphy for Beginners (Part 1)

This is a beginner’s deep-dive into the Art of Calligraphy, split into two classes: Session 1 (Thursday, October 8) will cover guidelines, holding the pen, right and left handed lettering, practicing basic strokes with a pen, and practicing letter formation with a pencil. Session 2 (Thursday, October 22) will cover dipping the pen in ink and forming individual letters, focusing on the thick/thin strokes. After practicing individual letters, participants will write short words or names. You will need to sign up for this free class, as spaces are limited; and the instructor asks that you commit to both sessions, as you will get the most out of the class by doing so. I paint local forest and garden landscapes representing human connection to the natural world.
