About this event

Lindsy Parrott, Executive Director and Curator of The Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass, will present an illuminating lecture in conjunction with the exhibition Tiffany or Ti-phony? A Story of Desire. Exploring themes of authenticity, craftsmanship, collecting, and the enduring fascination with Tiffany design, this program invites you to look more closely at the artistry and materials that shaped one of the most recognizable names in decorative arts history. Drawing from the history of Tiffany Studios and the study of both genuine and imitation objects, Parrott will share how close observation, expert knowledge, and an understanding of craft influence the way we assign meaning, value, and desire to decorative objects. You’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the enduring legacy of Tiffany design while considering why these objects continue to captivate collectors, museums, and audiences today.
