Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture sets the night ablaze, followed by Saint-Saëns’s Fifth Piano Concerto, a favorite of soloist Jean‑Yves Thibaudet, with its vibrant colors and harmonies. Bach’s majestic C minor Passacaglia and Fugue is refracted through Respighi’s kaleidoscope, bringing the night to a jubilant close. | Join us for a pre-concert talk 1 hour before most performances. Pre-concert Talk Join us one hour prior to most classical performances for a 30-minute pre-concert talk.
