Register for this class Overview Ages 7-18 What You’ll Learn Singing technique Acting for song Diction and projection Scene work: script analysis, character objectives, relationships, and transitions between speech and song. Performance skills Collaboration: working with partners, ensemble dynamics, and giving/receiving constructive feedback. Who This Class Is For Beginner to intermediate musical theatre performers who want to build confidence and craft. Schedule: September 14th – November 4th Mondays 5-7pm Wednesdays 4-6pn Performance November 6th at 7pm What to bring: water pencil Tuition & Registration $250.00 per student. Class size is limited to ensure focused attention. Early registration recommended. To register for this class, please fill out the form below. Print and fill the following paperwork and bring to first day Release of Liability > Student Emergency Contact > Refund and Cancellation Policy > Press & Photography Release > Register for this class TEACHER BIOS Katie Foster Katie grew up in a very musical family; both parents were music teachers and performers, and she spent many evenings putting on silly musicals with her 2 sisters in their living room. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Sonoma State University, focusing on vocal performance while also studying early childhood education and German language. During college, she performed in musicals and operettas, sang with local community choirs, and spent a year abroad in Germany studying music and voice. She taught first grade both locally and at an international school in Poland before pivoting to directing youth theatre. She directs musicals at local elementary schools and has been on the directing team for youth theatre at Spreckels, Music to My Ears, and…
