The Wildwoods

About this event

Introducing the 2026-2027 Performing Arts Season: The Power of Performing Arts THE POWER OF BELONGING With warm harmonies and heartfelt songwriting, The Wildwoods bring the spirit of folk music to life. Their sound evokes home, roots, and shared stories — the foundation of belonging. Hailing from Lincoln, Nebraska, The Wildwoods continue to bring sonic beauty and simplicity to today’s increasingly complicated musical landscape. They are known for blending folk‑Americana traditions with indie sensibilities reminiscent of Nickel Creek, Gillian Welch, Bon Iver, and Mumford & Sons. Dear Meadowlark, the album they released in the spring of 2025 is a celebration of familiarity and comfort — an emotional tribute to their home state and the homesickness that comes from long stretches on the road. As Noah Gose shares, the album’s lyrical theme centers on “the appreciation for our home state of Nebraska and the homesickness that can come with long periods spent on the road.” This performance highlights the cultural and communal wellness that grows when we gather, listen, and remember where we come from. Join us for an evening that feels like coming home, and enjoy the holidays with Nebraska’s own. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXp2FeEntGY
