Join 350Brookyn and the Greenpoint Public Library for a Water Walk with Eymund Diegel. Eymund Diegel is an historian of waterways, the springs, streams, ponds, and marshes that lie beneath our built environment. Although they are now hidden by our streets and buildings, these waters are always with us, and the hydrology of Greenpoint does much to explain the pattern of flooding in our neighborhood. Walk with Eymund and learn the many ways we might adapt Greenpoint to the rising threat of flooding. Limited capacity and rsvp required. Confirmed guests will receive precise meet-up location and instructions. Meet-up location is not at the Greenpoint Library. 350Brooklyn is a volunteer-driven group that mobilizes people to take effective local action to address the climate crisis. This program is part of their Facing the Future Series and is supported by a grant from Citizens Committee for NYC.
