About this event
Join us as Professor Gilda Daniels offers an overview of the historical importance of the Voting Rights Act, and how Supreme Court decisions-- particularly a recent one, Louisiana v. Callais-- have gutted it over time. She will address how the loss of protections is projected to detrimentally affect the political power of racial minorities-- among other things-- if we don't act. Presentation to be followed by an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
