For decades he has hosted and produced popular shows throughout the area, working with many of the region’s greatest artists at all of the finest venues. For 26 years he has been the musical partner of Erin Schwab, the “Bette Midler of the Twin Cites”. He has served as music director for the Governor’s Inauguration Ball, the US Foods National Awards Ball, the Basilica of Saint Mary Annual Fund Raiser, Children’s MN, and many more. For 27 years Jay was the Music Theory Department Head at the former McNally Smith College of Music. James A. Rocco is a Broadway and recording artist, recognized as the Twin Cities Vocalist of the Decade. James has sung alongside legends like Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter Nestor Torres, Darlene Love, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Blossom Dearie, Andrew Lloyd Webber and so many others. From Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center to local venues like Crooners and the Ordway, James captivates audiences with his powerful voice and charismatic stage presence.
