THE THRESHOLD: A Storytelling Series

What if happiness isn’t something waiting for us on the other side of achievement, healing, or becoming—but something already beneath it all? The Threshold is a monthly storytelling series hosted by Dennis Mahoney, built around brave people, vulnerable stories, and the truths we usually discover only by living through them. The theme, Happiness Is the Baseline, explores those moments when joy stops feeling like a destination and begins to feel like a return: to ourselves, to one another, and to the simple fact of being alive. This isn’t a TED Talk or motivational seminar. It’s an intimate evening of honest storytelling—an invitation to gather at the edge of human struggle, growth, and recognition, and perhaps leave feeling a little less alone. Every last Thursday of the month at The Olympic Southside Theater. Doors open at 6:30 PM; storytelling begins at 7:00 PM. $35 entry.
