About this event
After a sell-out evening in 2024, Dr. Quinn Peeper and coauthor and husband Michael Harold, two of New Orleans’ most beloved hosts, return with a second volume cataloguing their unique and beloved perspective on the artful host. Featuring “The Pass,” a weekend retreat, Coastal Shindig dovetails the formula for elegance, verve, and a lot of know-how for immersive entertaining. And, if you were here last time, you know you want to be here for round two. Purchase Tickets HERE! If you are unable to attend the event, but would like to purchase one or more copies, please visit Buxton Books here. About the Book Welcome to “The Pass,” Michael and Quinn’s coastal retreat. Just a jaunt away from life in New Orleans, their home in Pass Christian, Mississippi, is the perfect escape (and excuse to decorate). With Southern elegance, verve, and a lot of know-how, Michael and Quinn bring their authentic sense of artistry to any shindig. Entertaining is a way of life for these two, and Coastal Shindig is a delightful invitation to experience seasonal celebrations, birthday bashes, and the whimsy of life on the water through wonderful imagery by celebrated photographers, recipes, and so much more. About the Authors Michael Harold, a lawyer and native of New Orleans, is the owner of YSR Search LLC specializing in the placement of lawyers throughout the Gulf South. He earned a degree in Spanish from the University of the South, Sewanee Tennessee and a J.D. from Louisiana State University law school. After a junior year abroad in Valencia, Spain, Michael began studying French and continues taking classes. He began studying the piano at the age of eight and in 1979 played a Haydn piano concerto with a local community orchestra in New Orleans. He is an avid reader and since 1994 has enjoyed membership in a beloved monthly bookclub which satiates his love of serving food to friends, discussing novels, and entertaining at home. He serves on the boards of numerous organizations…
