Doors 4pm, Music 9pm Big Lake Big Lake plays acoustic music with an Americana/Bluegrass influence. They take pride in playing a cover song and making it sound like their own. Artists that they cover include, The Dead , Stones, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Allman Brothers, Little Feat , the Band, Jason Isbell, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Hayes Carll, Eilen Jewel. Bob Dylan, Watchhouse, Townes Van Sandt, CCR, Tony Rice, Johnny Cash, and many others. They all love a wide range of music and styles. Another interesting thing about this group is that with the exception of their drummer, they all attended UB at the same time, so it is really fun to still be friends after all these years and to create together. They’re very excited to be playing at Abilene because they all understand the type of Music Fan you are…and they can’t wait to play for ya!
