“The President's Own” United States Marine Band

Any open seats remaining just before showtime will be filled from the standby line. “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band is the oldest continuously active professional music organization in the United States. Since 17th Director John Philip Sousa was first granted permission to tour the country by President Benjamin Harrison in 1891, the Marine Band has delivered a White House experience from Washington, D.C., to the far-reaching corners of our nation. These special concerts have now grown into an experience shared across generations of Americans as well as a cherished tradition for families, veterans and music-lovers alike. For 2026, Marine Band Director Lt. Col. Ryan Nowlin will program musical selections in the style of Sousa: Concertgoers can expect to experience a mix of works including traditional band repertoire, Sousa marches, contemporary compositions, vocal and instrumental solos and a patriotic salute to the Armed Forces. Free admission (tickets required; valid only until 15 minutes prior to the start of the performance). General admission seating.
