The Perfect Neighbor

About this event

For our first meetup, we'll watch **The Perfect Neighbor**, which uses police body-camera footage to reconstruct an escalating neighborhood conflict in Florida that ultimately ends in a fatal shooting. Our conversation will explore themes including gun culture and self-defense, policing and its limits, race and bias, and the way the documentary’s unusual format shapes the story we see. Please watch the film on your own before the meetup. It is available to stream on Netflix.
