About this event
Celebrate 50 years of the Antichrist at The Frida as we present the original The Omen as part of our Art House of Horror: Presented by MUBI series! When American diplomat Robert Thorn (Gregory Peck) and his wife Katherine (Lee Remick) welcome their new son Damien, they believe their prayers for a child have finally been answered. But as a series of increasingly horrifying deaths surrounds the family, Robert begins to uncover a terrifying possibility: Damien may not be the child they thought he was. Richard Donner’s supernatural horror classic turns a seemingly perfect family into the center of an apocalyptic nightmare, elevated by Jerry Goldsmith’s Oscar-winning score, an unforgettable performance by Peck, and some of the most infamous death scenes in horror history. A massive box-office success that spawned sequels, a remake, and decades of imitators, The Omen remains one of the defining horror films of the 1970s.
