In 1972, high school buddies Tim Stevens, Warren Petryk, and John Lynch – known as The Memories (originally “The Pickle Dillies”) began a 16-year musical journey that took them across Wisconsin, the Midwest, and the country, performing for concerts, fairs, festivals, corporate events, and even a few barn dances! Their signature “MUSIC, LAUGHTER, AND WONDERFUL TIMES” approach was highlighted by their captivating three-part harmonies paying tribute to beloved vocal groups like The Statler Brothers, The Gatlin Brothers, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Alabama. They injected their performances with comedy and novelty songs, ensuring a fun and engaging experience which led to creating countless dedicated fans. While John retired from the group in 1988, the summer of 2022 marked a special milestone: the group’s 50th Anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, John reunited with Tim and Warren for four electrifying reunion concerts that were met with overwhelming enthusiasm. “The Boys” continued the fun with John joining Warren and Tim for their annual Holiday concert at the Mabel Tainter Theater that December. Since then, they have performed their celebration of Christmas each year to sold-out crowds at The Mabel. Their concerts feature traditional Christmas carols and favorite songs of the season. Audiences that attend their shows at the Tainter have come to appreciate that the Christmas Story with Bible verses and Sacred Hymns is always included. The Memories have a long history with The Mabel; their first concert appearance was in the fall of 1978 and 2026 will mark the 40th Anniversary of their first Holiday Concert in 1986.
