About this event
Diné jazz musician and bandleader Delbert Anderson honors the Navajo people through his work The Long Walk: 1,674 Days, a composition reflecting on their forced relocation from 1863 to 1868. Performed at venues across the country, this durational work invites participants into a meditative experience of remembrance and connection to Navajo history and culture. The evening unfolds through conversation, communal music-making, and ceremony—all centered around a single note. Presented with support from Creative Capital for Artists.
