Join MCC history professor Mark Sample for the third and final installment of his three-part Eleanor Roosevelt series (those who missed the first and/or second installment are still encouraged to attend). This lecture is focused on Eleanor Roosevelt during World War II, but will also delve into her defense of African-American singer Marian Anderson, her travels across the globe during the war, the death of FDR, ER's appointment by President Truman to the United Nations, and her involvement in writing the Declaration of Human Rights. The talk concludes with her later years and continued involvement in social and political issues. Henrietta Public Library is committed to creating inclusive and accessible events.
