Bessie Coleman, portrayed by her great-niece Gigi Coleman, shares the experiences that led her to become the first African American to earn her international pilot’s license and the first Black woman in the world to fly an airplane. With Bessie’s unwillingness to take no for an answer, she achieved many accomplishments in the U.S. in the field of aviation and led the way for African Americans to pursue their dreams of flying.
