About this event
Mick Doherty presents an entertaining and informative program featuring the hammered dulcimer. He has performed from coast to coast and from Paris to Tokyo. He plays traditional American music as well as tunes and songs from Ireland, Greece and beyond. The hammer dulcimer is a modern descendant of ancient tuned percussion instruments from Asia and Europe, which inspired the modern piano. Mick's dulcimer features 89 strings and is equipped with dampers. It is beautiful to see and hear!
