The Deep End Book Club: The Plague

The Loft, Upper Level. Dive into The Deep End, a new book club where we'll plunge headfirst into novels, stories, essays, and poems that are drenched in meaning. We will read literary works both old and new that are sure to stimulate lots of discussion. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided! For our first meeting, we're reading the The Plague, a novel written in 1947 by French philosopher Albert Camus. You may have read Camus' first novel, the existential classic The Stranger, in high school English class. Copies of The Plague will be available on the Lower Level of the library. Registration required. Sponsored by the Friends of the Cheshire Public Library.
