The Creature Comforts The Politics of Pop Vinyl Release Party - with special guest 90 Minute Cassette Doors 7pm / Show 8pm Ages 18+ with valid ID; $2 minor surcharge at the door for patrons under 21. The Creature Comforts return to launch the 2026 vinyl reissue of their debut album, The Politics of Pop. Originally released in 1998 on Noisome Records and produced by Ed Rose, P.O.P. was a fan and critical favorite - Earning Album of the Year, and Song of the Year (Sentimental Bliss) at the Kansas City Lawrence Music Awards. The Politics of Pop will be reissued by Seattle?s Rocket Heart Records, remastered for vinyl by Kliph Scurlock, with updated artwork that reimagines the album?s original visual concept.
