From beloved standards to iconic originals, the program pays tribute to one of the greatest saxophonists in jazz history, whose music continues to inspire generations of musicians and audiences alike. Now based in New York City, Jago has earned an international reputation through performances across Australia and the United States. He has appeared at major jazz festivals and shared the stage with artists including Patti Austin, Terence Blanchard, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Chick Corea, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Dave Liebman, Bobby McFerrin, Gloria Estefan, Danilo Pérez, Arturo Sandoval, Vince Mendoza, Steve Miller, and James Morrison.
