The Cat in the Hat

Don’t mess with the hat. Or else. Our Halloween Hangover weekend at The Frida Cinema continues with one of the most terrifying motion pictures ever made: 2003’s The Cat in the Hat! When The Cat crashes into the lives of two bored kids, their rainy afternoon spirals into a surreal parade of nightmare fuel that somehow received a PG rating. Co-starring Dakota Fanning, Spencer Breslin, and Alec Baldwin, this famously bizarre adaptation has spent years haunting the childhoods of an entire generation. The sets are garish, the jokes are more than question, and The Cat himself looks like he knows where you sleep. This movie is not for children. (Okay, maybe it is. But still.) Come re-live your childhood trauma on the big screen at The Frida Cinema! Enhanced Accessibility Options: this film has Closed Captioning capability!
