About this event
The California Ocean Summit is an inaugural gathering advancing ocean stewardship through science, policy, philanthropy, investment and culture. The working Summit for invited guests will bring together scientists, philanthropists, investors, innovators, policymakers, storytellers and environmental leaders in Santa Barbara for three days of solutions-driven programming. On Dec. 10 from 3–5 p.m., the conference will come to CEC’s Environmental Hub for the Blue Innovation Showcase, where innovators, entrepreneurs and startups will have the opportunity to share and demonstrate solutions for a healthier ocean. The public is invited to celebrate and connect with our ocean through free programming at the Santa Barbara Public Library, including film screenings, author talks and more. Community partners will also host events throughout downtown Santa Barbara. On Dec. 9, UCSB Arts & Lectures will present a screening of “OCEAN with David Attenborough” accompanied by the Santa Barbara Symphony performing the live score — paid tickets are available for this event.
