The Burning of Zozorba

Let's Burn Some Gloom! 🔥 I've been wanting to do this for a while, and this feels like the year. We'll be heading to Santa Fe for the 102nd Burning of Zozobra, one of New Mexico's most unique traditions. If you've never been, Zozobra is a 50-foot marionette stuffed with people's worries, fears, and "gloom" before it goes up in flames in front of thousands of people. This year's event also celebrates America's 250th anniversary, making it even more special. The gates open at 4:00 PM, and the show begins at 6:00 PM. Please take a few minutes to look through the different ticket options before purchasing. They offer several choices, including discounted tickets for veterans and seniors. Also let me know what time you'll be attending. If enough people choose the same arrival time, we can get a group together so nobody has to go solo. More than likely this will be an all-day event for me, but you're welcome to come for as much or as little of the day as you'd like. I'll keep everyone updated on where the group is throughout the day. If we have enough people interested, I'll find a place in Santa Fe for dinner before the festivities begin. I'll have all of the final details, including transportation plans, by mid-July. I haven't decided yet if I'll be taking the Rail Runner or driving, but I'll let everyone know as soon as I do.
