Led by world-renowned guitarist Randy Jacobs of Was (Not Was), the band delivers a powerful blend of Detroit soul and Muscle Shoals–inspired rhythm and blues at every performance. In 2025, The Boneshakers signed with Gulf Coast Records and released their 11th album, Live to Be This. Debuting in the Billboard Top 10 and featured in Rolling Stone, the album includes appearances by Bobby Rush, Charlie Musselwhite, Coco Montoya, Don Was, and Jimmy Carpenter.
