Englewood - Online, Englewood Public Library. Writing Coach and MSU Professor Maxwell Klausner presents "The 5 Elements of a Successful Common App Essay" on Wednesday, October 7 at 7 p.m. on Zoom. You must register to receive the Zoom link. The link will be sent out 1 hour before the program. This presentation aims to clarify one of the most elusive parts of the college application process: the personal essay. As a writing coach, Professor Klausner helps college applicants discover their unique voice and story so they can compose stellar essays that will stand out to admissions officers. In this presentation, Klausner will walk students through 5 major elements that go into a strong essay: Topic, Plot, Voice, Theme, and Conclusion. This workshop is ideal for the parents of college applicants, as well as high school students themselves. Whether you've written a first draft or have not yet begun, this workshop offers essential tips for completing your essay..
