About this event
As we celebrate Southdale Shopping Center's 70th anniversary, plan to take a nostalgic trip back to the glory days of department stores, when shops such as Dayton’s, Donaldson’s, Powers, and Young-Quinlan ruled the retail landscapes of downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. Kristal Leebrick, author of “Thank You for Shopping – The Golden Age of Minnesota Department Stores,” will present the history and stories behind these stores, which were once the centers of social life in the Twin Cities. Anoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources, services, and programs. Assistive technology and program accommodations are available at many library locations, as outlined on our library accessibility page. Please call the library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully participate. This program is funded by MELSA.
