The Fight Against Suicide is coming to the Durham Convention Center on October 8 for TFAS 19: The Fight Against Suicide UNC. This charity boxing event features student-athletes stepping into the ring to fight for something much bigger than themselves. Founded in memory of student and athlete Sam Asbury, TFAS is dedicated to changing the conversation around mental health and suicide prevention. This year’s student-led campaign combines amateur boxing with talks from trained addiction and trauma counselors, creating an experience focused on connection, awareness, and action. Join us for an inspiring night of competition, community, and purpose. Proceeds from the event support TFAS and its mission to promote connection, action, and lasting change.
