Get creative and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us by making your very own alebrije-inspired sculpture! Alebrijes are colorful, imaginative folk-art figures from Mexico, often featuring fantastical combinations of animals, bright colors, and unique patterns. At this hands-on program, you’ll use clay and wire to build your own creature, then bring it to life with paint and your own creative style. Will you make a wild animal, a mythical creature, or a completely new creature that exists only in your imagination? There are no wrong answers! Best of all, you’ll get to take your finished sculpture home and show off your one-of-a-kind creation.
